Frequently asked questions
Can I hide confidential text with a rectangle?
No. An overlay is not secure redaction; underlying text may remain in the PDF. Use a dedicated redaction tool.
Are my files uploaded?
FileForge processes selected files on your device and has no file-upload API. Optional engines and models are downloaded from third parties; those requests expose connection information such as your IP address.
Will my work be saved automatically?
No. Files and editing results stay in this tab’s memory. Changing language preserves your work; reloading, closing the tab, or following a link to another page can clear it.
